A BIT ABOUT WHO WE ARE

 

Wickman Development and Construction was established in 2012 with the vision of becoming the most highly regarded institutional and commercial general engineering and building contractor in the San Francisco Bay Area.

 

As we grow in age and experience we believe we are well on our way to achieving our goal of being the most highly regarded institutional and commercial general engineering and building contractor in the San Francisco Bay Area. With many commercial and institutional projects completed since 2012 we have already established a great deal of repeat commercial business and are always personally solicited by public agency representatives that we have worked for in the past. Our success has come due to many aspects of our construction project management process however above all else it is our method of project team building that has led to our success. Even prior to having a contract signed we engage the Owner, Architects / Engineers, Inspectors and our Sub-Contractors into a collaborative and team oriented environment. By focusing on our common goal and getting buy-in into our project management philosophy we get a project result that achieves our Clients goals of Quality, Time and Budget.

Chief Business Officer

Jonathan Wickman

Jonathan is the company Principal and is responsible for the success of all projects. His duties include business management, estimating, contract negotiation, project management and field superintendent. He specializes in the public works sector of the San Francisco Bay Area construction industry since 2007 and successfully managed the entire construction process from beginning to completion of projects ranging from $1M to $11M. In his previous employment working for AECOM and Kitchell CEM some of his Clients have been; SFUSD, The City of Foster City, CUSD, and SMUHSD to name a few.
Jonathan graduated from Cal Poly (SLO) with a major in Civil Engineering and a minor in construction management. He is licensed with the California Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors as a Professional Engineer (Civil). He is a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) by the Construction Management Association of American (CMAA) and 10 hour certified by OSHA. He is an accredited LEED AP by the Green Building Certification Institute.

Chief Operations Officer

Aidan Fahy

Prior to Wickman Development and Construction, Aidan was principal of Aidan Fahy Construction founded in 2001. Aidan Fahy Construction specialized in residential rough framing and general contracting as well as institutional projects where he mainly performed rough framing scopes of work on schools, libraries, etc. Aidan had decades of experience working as a lead superintendent and foreman for a high end builder in Nantucket, Massachusetts. There he built from the ground up as well as renovated many of the top end vacation homes that are found in Nantucket. He also spent time in Boston as a rough framer. His years of experience lend an invaluable resource of hands on knowledge of implementation of the construction process, sequencing, safety, construction details and systems. He moved to San Francisco Bay Area in 1999, when he worked as a superintendent for residential and commercial projects.

Project Engineer

MJ Tacoban

MJ is the Project Engineer at Wickman Development and Construction. He graduated from San Francisco State with a major in Civil Engineering. His main responsibilities include RFIs submissions, ASC, RFP, Daily logs, Progress photos, and estimating.

Administrator

Estrella Hernandez

Estrella manages the day-to-day administrative aspects of running a company. She is highly organized and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks at a time. Estrella is the first point of contact for all vendors, handles schedules, clerical tasks, and maintains the office supply inventory. Her other responsibilities include sorting company documents, routing mail, and managing and tracking project files.
